The 20th edition of the Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Festival 2025, presented in association with Telangana Tourism and GHMC and inaugurated by H.E. the Governor of Telangana, Shri Jishnu Dev Varma, unfolds through November across Hyderabad’s most iconic venues - Taramati Baradari, State Art Gallery, Shilparamam, and Radisson Blu Plaza.
The festival opens at Radisson Blu Plaza with the screenings of OutHouse, featuring Sharmila Tagore, Mohan Agashe and Sonali Kulkarni, B.Narsing Rao's 'Matti Manshulu' featuring Moin Ali Baig, Neena Gupta, Ananya Kasaravalli's 'Harikatha Prasanga' followed by Film Making Workshop by Sunil Suthankar and Costume Designing for Stage and Screen by Dolly Ahluwalia.

The performances continue at the State Art Gallery with Seagull - Assam’s adaptation of Jean-Paul Sartre’s Unchayi, and at Shilparamam with Alakhnandan’s Chandaa Bedni by Rangakarmee Theatre Group–Kolkata, and Dorra, a Telugu interpretation of Don Quixote by Hyderabad’s Shudrka. The festival culminates at Taramati Baradari with an international and pan-Indian showcase - Karen Houge’s Didn’t Know That About You (Norway), Faezeh Jalali and Junaid Khan’s multilingual Runaway Brides (Mumbai), Shobha De and Lillete Dubey’s Lockdown Liaisons (Mumbai), and Makarand Deshpande’s stirring Siachen. With its diverse lineup of films, stage productions, and workshops, this year’s edition celebrates the timeless dialogue between theatre, cinema, and the human spirit - bringing together voices, languages, and stories from India and beyond.
